In this workshop you will learn the fundamental techniques of tufting with a machine gun to create a rug or wall hanging up to 40cm x 40cm. Participants will be encouraged to experiment with three different guns, each with a unique pile height, as well as bold color choices for a one of a kind piece of art.
You can either arrive with an idea of what you would like to create, an item or idea that inspires you, or organically create your design as you tuft. For this workshop I recommend you come in with a more vague idea that can be molded and changed as you experiment with colors and textures! If coming with your own design, keep in mind that it should be relatively simple as small details can be difficult to execute and take considerably more time.
All tools and materials will be provided, as well as tea and snacks :) Rugs can be taken home at the end of the class or backed by me and picked up in three business days.
