Please note this is a two day workshop! We will always meet on a Saturday and the following Sunday from 12-17h. This class is intended for intermediate and advanced tufters, we will not be starting with an introduction to the tufting process.
In this workshop, participants will create their own one of a kind tufted mirror frame. There will be a selection of mirrors to choose from in various sizes and shapes, and we will cover how to mold designs around each uniquely shaped mirror. You will have a canvas of up to 40cm x 80cm to design. It is possible to upgrade to the 80x80cm frame size as well for an additional upgrade charge.
There are three types of tufting guns to work with to create different height and textures. On day 1 we will tuft our pieces, and on day 2 we will glue the rugs, attach our mirrors, and carve our rugs for definition and height differences.
Tools, supplies, and mirrors will be supplied in the class.
