Have you made a scrunchie, pillow case or tote bag and would like to start making your own clothes? Then you're welcome to join my workshop and create your custom skirt or pants! Over the course of 4.5 hours I will guide you through the pattern making, sewing and fitting of your new piece. You are open to make a classic mini skirt with a zipper, a wrap skirt or shorts.
This class is perfect for beginners who are comfortable with basic sewing skills and want to level up.
What can you sew in the course:
- For a beginner, I would recommend a wrap skirt. It is fairly simple and you will learn how to sew darts!
- Beginner to Medium sewing skills are perfect for the shorts!
- For confident beginners, a miniskirt with a zipper is also a great option. This project is fairly easy—the only minor challenge is inserting an invisible zipper!
Information on the fabric:
- Fabric is NOT included in the course. Please purchase it prior to the course! (You can purchase fabric at the workshop location. If you decide to do so, please come 30 minutes earlier.) Other materials such as zippers or elastics are included!
- In case you want to make a mini skirt, 70 cm is sufficient, with the usual width of 140/ 150 cm.
- For a wrap skirt, you need 120 cm of fabric (with a width of 140/ 150 cm). If you want your skirt to be longer than 55 cm, a bit more fabric is necessary.
- In case of a shorts, 120 cm is sufficient, with the usual width of 140/ 150 cm.
- For fabric I would recommend any blend of cotton, viskose, and/ or linen - depending on what you desire. :)
Information about the course itself:
- The course will be held in German or English or a mix of both, depending on whatever suits the group
- The group will be limited to a maximum of five participants, ensuring a personalized and intimate sewing experience.
