Tuft your very own one-of-a-kind 40x80cm rug or wall hanging!
Rugburn Studio emphasizes using different types of tufting guns so that you leave with a rug made with unique dimensions and textures.
This beginner-friendly workshop offers three types of machines- tall fluffy stitches, lower punch needle stitches, and funky bigger loops- any combination, all together in one rug!
Don’t know the difference yet? No problem! We start the workshop with a test run, so you get to learn each machine and develop your design based on your own personal preferences :-) No previous experience is required!
You can choose to come with an exact design or with images, shapes or moods that inspire you- or no ideas at all! We will work in a casually structured environment so you are free to experiment and build your rug as you go.
Depending on timing, we can also trim, shave, and carve your rug. Please note: if you want to spend time carving with the electric shaver, come with a simpler design with a few blocks of color, as carving often takes as long as tufting. I am always available by email for design questions and advice :-)
The workshop is taught in English but assistance in German can be given when needed.
