The idea of entering the vast world of bacteria and yeast in fermentation, although super exciting, can be a bit of a daunting topic. Laura’s aim with this workshop is to teach people the basic principles of fermentation, in order to make it a more approachable hobby for everyone!

On top of being a centuries old method of preserving food, adding fermented foods to your diet can have some serious health benefits - they are packed full of good bacteria and probiotics.

In this workshop you will craft a range of fermented food and drinks together, along with learning a bit about the health benefits and science behind these amazing foods.

You will make SAUERKRAUT, KIMCHI and KEFIR WATER - learning the basics, but also taking it a step further by introducing different flavour combinations to make a truly unique ferment.

The workshop will give you the ability and confidence to try out different recipes at home, so that you can continue your fermentation journey even when the workshop is over.

There will also be some snacks and refreshments for you to try during the workshop, so you can get a sense of what to expect from your creations, and gauge what kind of flavours you would like to go for.

Laura has been fermenting food for 3 years now and can ensure you that the excitement for developing this skill does not fade away, which is why she would love to share this experience with you!

Thanks Laura I really enjoyed your workshop and your kindness. The different flavours were blowing my mind and my senses. I would join the workshop definitely again and suggest it to everyone who wants to dive behind the scenes of Fermentation.

The workshop was great! Very well organized with our own individual stations with ingredients. Also the nicely printed info sheets and follow up e-mails with recommendations were very helpful! We also got to bring home a lot of self-made products with us at the end. Laura was a great instructor and I learned a lot!
