This workshop will be split into two parts.
On Sunday, 21 December, we will focus entirely on designing and sewing the quilt top (the front).
An individual follow-up session will then take place on an evening in the following week to complete the quilting and finishing of the blanket. I will contact each participant in advance to schedule this second session.

Every baby deserves their own special quilt—a soft, cozy blanket that can be taken everywhere through their early years. Quilts can function as a clean play mat and a warm, comforting blanket, offering a sense of security. The visually stimulating patterns also provide developmental benefits. Quilts are a lasting memento, perfect for passing down through generations—a tradition long associated with the craft of quilting.
In this workshop, led by artist and designer Alma Alloro, you’ll learn the fundamentals of quilt-making, including how to choose fabrics, work with patterns, and sew with precision. By the end of the day, each participant will have their own unique, hand-sewn baby quilt!
