Paratha is a whole-wheat bread commonly eaten as breakfast in the northern part of India. It is mostly made with whole wheat flour. Fibre-rich paratha is a great way to kickstart your day. It can be made plain with just oil, salt and pepper and also with the stuffing of potatoes, onion, Paneer, Chickpea flour or many other things.
In this workshop, you´ll be introduced to the art of making plain paratha. You will start from making your own dough, then you will learn rolling it into a paratha and then shallow frying it with Ghee. You will experience the aromas, range of authentic Indian flavours and also will listen to many breakfast stories from a common Indian household.
We will try it along with different pickles, butter and also with yoghurt. There are endless ways that you can include this healthy bread into your diet and also fuse it with your own cuisine.
