Weekend Workshop (two consecutive days)
1st Day: Saturday 10 am - 4 pm
2nd Day: Sunday 10 am - 3 pm
In this weekend workshop, we introduce you to the creative process of making a handwoven textile. Over 2 consecutive days, you will make a set of handwoven napkins that you will have designed and woven from start to finish — whether classy and elegant or funky and fresh!
On the 1. day you will sketch out your ideas, pick your color theme and draw out your final design. There will be five prepared looms to choose from, one for each participant, allowing a variety of weaving patterns. You’ll begin weaving your first napkin and make some final adjustments in your design.
On the 2. day you will spend the entire day weaving and tune into the beautiful rhythm of the loom. Julia or Miriam will be there to help you perfect your weaving skills. They will also provide you with coffee, tea and snacks during a short break. In the afternoon, you will finish weaving your napkins, take them off the loom and sew up the seams.
Your unique handwoven napkins will make the perfect gift or a special addition for your own dinner party.
This workshop is designed for all levels.
Limited to groups of max. 5 participants.
Class can be held in English and German.
