Machine knitting is a meditative and satisfying activity, it offers you the chance to see knitting happening quite fast, especially when compared to hand-knitting. You can shape and blend yarns during the process and if you think you want to change it, the piece of textile can be unraveled and knit once again. The process is faster than hand-knitting, however, it requires patience and a bit of dexterity in order to get to know how it works.
In this workshop you can get a chance to understand the main principles of machine knitting, experiment with different types of natural yarns, knitting stitches, size and patterns. You'll visit Cristina in her workshop where she will assist you in creating your first knitted swatch, add patterns, colours, blend different type of yarns and with enough patience, maybe even create a hat or a scarf from the samples you make.
