Machine knitting is a meditative and satisfying activity, it offers you the chance to see knitting happening quite fast, especially when compared to hand-knitting. You can shape and blend yarns during the process and if you think you want to change it, the piece of textile can be unraveled and knit once again. The process is faster than hand-knitting, however, it requires patience and a bit of dexterity in order to get to know how it works.
In this workshop I will guide you to plan and knit your own scarf. We will work with recycled or rescued yarns, most of them wool, but combinations of wool and other materials are also available. This is an excellent intro to the most basic machine knitting techniques and requires no prior knowledge or understanding of the machine.
