Come and spend a lovely inspiring evening learning hand embroidery & leave with an organic cotton embroidered t-shirt.
We are going to practice the most essential embroidery stitches and make a sampler.
After that, you will learn how to embroider on t-shirts and on other garments.
-Small group of maximum 6 people.
-All materials provided: embroidery hoops, original embroidery patterns, fabrics, needles, threads, an organic T-shirt with fair-trade certificate.
Plan of the workshop
First 1,5 hours:
-Practicing different stitches, experimenting with different materials, using the hoop, separating the thread, choosing the right needle. Tips and tricks about making knots, starting & finishing the project.
Second 1,5 hours:
-You will be provided a 100% organic cotton T-shirt (price included in the ticket) from size S to XL in white to embroider on, or you are free to bring your own clothing item to embroider.
-You will be provided different embroidery designs to work on the T-shirt, but feel free to embroider your own ideas and designs.
-Leave with a beautiful and unique handmade embroidery and a new golden skill in your pocket :)
What else?
-You can also bring a pillowcase or an old t-shirt or forgotten clothing etc; either it has a little hole or any unwanted logo you want to cover or just refresh with hand embroidery.
It's a great way to customise your wardrobe, mend over the holes and stains, even create unique gifts for your loves :)
This workshop will be taught in English and is designed for all skill levels - from embroidery beginners to seasonal stitchers. No previous knowledge or skills are necessary!
