Create the candle you wish existed! Step into the colourful world of Galleria Lucia and create your own scented candle from scratch in our signature candle-making workshop in the heart of Berlin.
The workshop takes place inside our store & working candle atelier on Oderberger Straße in Prenzlauer Berg, just steps from Mauerpark, Kastanienallee and the historic Berlin Wall. This is where our own Galleria Lucia candles are handmade — and now you get to take over the candle-making table and create one of your own.
And we really mean your own.
Start by choosing your favourite glass from our collection of colours. Then smell your way through our selection of premium fragrance oils until you find the one. Choose your wax colour, experiment with different finishes and add natural crystals for a little extra meaning and magic. Finally, give your candle a name and complete it with your own personalised label.
Whether you want something colourful and bold, soft and romantic, dark and mysterious or completely unexpected, there are no rules and no two candles leave our atelier the same.
We’ll guide you through the entire process, from choosing and combining the elements to pouring and finishing your candle. Along the way, you’ll discover how candles are made, learn our favourite candle-care secrets and find out what to look for when choosing more sustainable candles.
Your finished 260 ml scented candle is made with natural vegan soy wax, a cotton wick and premium fragrance oils and has an approximate burn time of 60 hours. Your colourful glass is designed to be reused, too — once the candle is finished, give it a new life as a drinking glass or refill it with one of our candle refills.
While you create, enjoy complimentary drinks and soak up the atmosphere of our little candle world, surrounded by handmade Galleria Lucia pieces, colourful design objects and a curated selection from local independent artists.
At the end, we’ll beautifully package your candle, ready for you to take home — although we completely understand if it turns out too pretty to burn.
Come on your own, bring your best friend, your date, your mum or the whole crew. Whether you’re a Berliner looking for something different to do or visiting the city and want to experience its creative side, no experience is needed — just come and make something that is completely yours.
Private workshops are also available for birthdays, bachelorette parties, baby showers, corporate events and team-building experiences.
