Discover hands-on mask making and character design in this two-session workshop.
You will design and create your own character mask, developing an idea from concept to final piece—either to wear or to display.

About the workshop:
A two-session sustainable experience focused on transforming cardboard into expressive character masks.
Working with cardboard, papier-mâché strips and clay, you will shape, build and bring your ideas to life through a hands-on process. Inspired by “guardian” masks and visual traditions from around the world, you will create a small or large mask—an imagined character with presence, designed either to wear or to hang, bringing personality to a space.
1st session: Friday 6:00–9:30pm
We begin with inspiration from masks and visual traditions from around the world, exploring their meanings and cultural context. Inspired by shared references on the table or your own ideas, you will then develop your character and begin building your mask using cardboard, papier-mâché and clay.
2nd session: Friday 6:00–9:30pm
A relaxed painting and decoration session where your character comes to life. You will refine your papier-mâché and add the final touches, bringing depth, color and expression to your mask, with optional materials such as fabric, threads and metal elements.
Suitable for beginners — no prior experience needed.
All materials are included.
I introduce the cultural context in English. I’m happy to guide you in English, German, Spanish or Italian.
Come and enjoy the process of creating your own character mask, it will be a creative experience you won’t forget!
