Creating mini art is a fun way to get creative without the pressure of making one big masterpiece... instead we will draw and paint lots of mini art, so you can really experiment and play with different techniques! Learn how to unleash your inner artist and create unique pieces that you can proudly display on your walls, or as a personal gift to friends and family. Instructions and examples will be supplied for you, as well as all materials you need, so you can create with ease and make some cool artworks!
We will kick off with a little welcome drink and an introduction so everyone can meet each other! (Don't worry, you don't have to come up with an interesting fact about yourself!)
Ness will show you some examples and ideas of what you can create, and we will talk about themes and subjects and styles and do some initial sketches! This is the exciting bit where your creativity can take over- and if you need extra help coming up with something, there is lots of support from Ness!
We will draw our templates for the square and hexagonal shapes onto some watercolour paper, and start creating lots of mini artworks. You can use pens, colouring pencils, and watercolour paints to create your artwork, and Ness will have heaps of examples for you to get inspiration from! As well as tips and tricks for popping compositions and nice colour palettes!
Once you are happy with your artworks you can decide which 2 work best for each frame, and cut them out and put them in! You can even add a cute little message on the inside, for yourself or if a loved one is lucky enough to be getting it as a gift!
You can take away your finished hangers and all the artwork you have created. As well as new ideas that you can use at home to make more art :) And we will see you again for another creative workshop!
You do not need to know how to draw/paint to join this workshop! Ness will guide you through each step, and is there the whole time to help you create something you will be happy with :)
