In this workshop we are gonna learn the basis of watercolor from scratch, and focus on the practice of freehand painting. What does freehand mean? Creating our shape directly with our brush without a previous sketch or drawing. This will make your work truly unique!
The practice of freehand painting is not only a technical training but also a training of character and, as I see it, of mindfulness.
Painting with water and brush without prior drawing may sound difficult and, I'm not going to lie to you, it is challenging. But it can also be enormously gratifying when we learn to see it as a game and approach it as a child would: with curiosity and without fear.
My goal during this workshop is to give you technical tools and help you gain confidence to paint as if it were a game, so you can jump in and explore your inner artist.
We will be working with images of the natural world, namely plants, flower and butterflies. If there is one particular image that inspires you, feel free to bring it as well!
