Please note: This Workshop takes place in a private apartment.
At this workshop, you will be introduced to a special technique called by artist "the appliqué" and create your own work based on his method. In the late 1940s, Henri Matisse exclusively created "appliqués", which he also referred to as "scissor painting." We will begin the workshop by delving into the artist's creativity, discussing how Matisse came to this technique, its principles, and why it was so important to him. Following this, you will receive a set of materials to create an image identical to Matisse's or your interpretation of it. Using colored paper, scissors, and glue, you will feel the master's plasticity and composition, which will serve as the foundation for your own work. Afterwards, using your own motifs and personal master plan, you will create a second piece.
As a result of this workshop, you will produce 2 images in A4-A3 DIN format.
