What we will do?
In this workshop, you will learn the basics of sculpting jewelry from wax. You'll start with a wax pendant and personalize it, making it truly unique. Whether you prefer adding intricate textures, engraving meaningful symbols, or even capturing your own fingerprints for a personal touch, the choice is entirely yours! Wax sculpting is like sculpture for jewelry. It is a very meditative (and fun) technique that opens the possibility to infinite shapes, textures, and experimentation.
With guidance, you will explore different techniques for engraving or texturing the surface using the tools provided. No prior knowledge is needed. Josefina and Devi will assist you in materializing your ideas.
By the end of the workshop, you will have created a wax master which will then be sent to a local caster, where it will be cast in sterling silver. After arriving back from the caster, Josefina and Devi will hand-finish your piece according to your specifications. Your pendant will be ready for pick up a few weeks after the workshop — definitely before Christmas. Each necklace comes packed in a beautiful eco-friendly packaging.
