There is nothing more elegant than porcelain, known as a Diva of ceramics because of its transparency and pure white color. A unique feature of this material is its high level of mechanical resistance, low porosity, and high density, as well as its durability, soft touch, transparency, and aesthetic appeal.
Our four hour course will cover the material and properties of porcelain and help you to cast some of your own pieces, including cups, plates, and figurines. Maria, an experienced artist and maker, will explain different casting techniques and show you how to glue a few pieces together so that you will be able to create your own porcelain artwork.
If you would like to use your own mold, you are welcome to bring it with you or pick one from our collection of bowls, cups, and traditional figures.
