Attention!
In addition to the basic course fee, I charge €3 per gram of silver. How much silver you need for your ring depends on your ring size and the thickness of the material you choose.
What will you experience with me?
Enjoy a few hours of handcrafting in my living room in Berlin and make your first self-made ring from silver (925 sterling silver).
I will show you how to turn a piece of raw material into a wonderful silver ring with a smooth, hammered or matt surface.
A few examples on my fingers will show you your options.
In 3 to 4 hours, I will guide you step by step to your ring happiness. As I only have one workstation in my living room, I am happy for two or three participants to take turns at this workstation. Don't worry, while one person is sitting, the others won't be bored at all.
After we have found out your ring size over snacks and a cup of tea, the material is cut to size, processed with a file and then bent into shape.
Solder and a soldering iron come into play and we solder your ring together at around 1000 degrees Celsius.
Now it's time for the finishing touches: the ring is rounded to perfection with a hammer and then made shinier and shinier with the right grinding tool.
Depending on the desired surface, the ring is polished to a high gloss or finally given a hammered pattern or matt finish.
