Nitu grew up in Delhi, the heart of India, not only famous for its cultural lineage but also, it's culinary heritage. In India cooking is a part of growing up, Nitu learnt cooking from her grandmother. They used to cook many famous Indian dishes but her favorite has always been Chole Bhature (Chickpeas Curry served with Rice and Fluffy Pan Cakes).
Chole Bhature is a delicious breakfast as well as lunch or dinner dish generally served with onions ,pickle, mint chutney and lassi. Chole Bhature as breakfast was invented in Delhi post partition and nowadays, it is popular breakfast around north-west India and other parts of the country.
In this 2-hour hands-on class, you will learn how to make this delicious meal, Chole (chickpeas curry - Indian style), Bhature (Fried bread, made of all purpose flour. You´ll be given all the step by step instructions. Learn the art of making feather soft bhaturas served with chole or chickpeas cooked in a pool of rustic spices. After all the hard work in the kitchen you will sit together and eat. Lassi, pickles, chutney, onion salad will also be served along with Choley Bhature.

You never realize quite how strongly you’re tied to the food culture of your home country until you move to a new place...Nitu realized it when she moved to berlin 2 years back.

Her passion has always been to feed her family with fresh, nutritious and home cooked meals and never let them miss indian food.

But her love for food goes much deeper than that. She always loved learning family recipes from her grandmother and her mother while growing up, specially those that come from the princely state of rajasthan, where Nitus family is originally from. But after getting married at a very young age, she learnt and explored food from southern india being married into a south indian family from kerala.
